Incidents are the playbook of any fire department, many are not worth a second look, some are discussed for training purposes, and some take on mythical auras. This section will share the stories of some of the major incidents that the Los Angeles County Fire Department has responded to.

Photo # inc-029: Golden West Airlines Flight 261, a Twin Otter aircraft, crashed into Katherine Edwards Middle School in West Whittier. It had a mid-air collision with a Cessna 150 on January 9th, 1975 at 4:07 PM. Fourteen souls lost their lives in this incident.
